2026 0042 BankStreet Renewal Map Summer enStarting May 19, 2026, there will be detours and road closures in our area along Riverside Drive (between Data Centre Road and Neil Way), to replace water and sewer mains as a part of the Bank Street Renewal Project.

As of July 13, the Westbound portion of Riverside Drive between Data Centre Road and Neil Way will close, and the Eastbound portion will re-open, with one lane for each direction.

During the week of July 13, the City anticipates that the Riverside Drive entry/exit point will reopen to patients arriving from the West, or departing heading East. There will be no left-hand turns permitted on the detour route, so patients arriving from the East or departing heading West will need to use alternate routes.

For patients arriving from the East, or leaving heading West, you will still need to arrive/depart via Bank Street.

Here are some detour options to help plan your commute to your appointments during the Riverside Road closures:

Coming Eastbound, you can take Smyth Road to Alta Vista Drive to Kilborn Avenue/Bank Street

Coming Westbound, you can arrive via the following options:

From Aviation Parkway, turn onto Heron Road to Bank Street

Once this section is completed, the Riverside Westbound lanes will close and reroute to Riverside Eastbound, mirroring the earlier configuration (one lane Eastbound, one lane Westbound). Once that occurs, the Riverside Road entrance to 1355 Bank Street will be accessible again. This stage of construction is expected to last until late August/early September 2026.
